Resource Person: Engr. Ferdinand O. Agtarap (DOLE-accredited OHS Consultant & Professional Mechanical Engineer)
Focus: Conducting machinery risk assessments and designing safeguarding systems compliant with international standards (ISO 12100, ISO 14120, ISO 14119, and ISO 13849-1/-2). It aims to train up to 500 participants in hazard identification and validation checklists.
Date: August 22 and September 5, 2026 (4 hours total; 2 hours per session)
Resource Person: Engr. Sherwin U. Mina (Electromechanical Supervisor at UST Hospital & MSME candidate)
Focus: Teaching engineers to model internal flows, solve fluid momentum via Navier-Stokes equations, evaluate pressure drops in piping/duct networks, and leverage Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) to optimize HVAC layouts and facility ventilation.
Date: August 29, 2026 (4 hours total)
Resource Person: Dr. Ria Liza C. Canlas (Executive Member of the National Innovation Council & President of FILWIN)
Focus: Educating engineers on turning technical concepts into protected assets. Topics include advancing "Filipinnovation" under R.A. 11293 (Philippine Innovation Act), measuring Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), and applying the criteria for patentability (Novelty, Inventive Step, and Industrial Applicability).
Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers -Mechanical Design and Fabrication is a technical division dedicated to encourage technological innovations by providing opportunities to present ideas and products.
